VaticanFilipino communities are invited to attend the Holy Eucharist to commmemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and the Holy See. Mass will be at the Altar of the Chair of St. Peter at St. Peter's Basilica on THURSDAY, APRIL 14, 5:00 pm. H.E. Msgr. Dominique Mamberti, Secretariat of State of the Holy See will preside.

It was during the presidency of Elpidio Quirino when the apostolic delegation to the Philippines was raised to the status of nunciature.  Archbishop Egidio Vagnozzi became the furst Apostolic Nuncio on the 9th of April 1951 and H.E. Manual Moran became the first ambassador of the Philippines to the Holy See when he presented his letters of credence to Pope Pius XII on 4th of June 1951.

The participation of everyone is a worthy expression of the desire for a closer communion wiht the Holy Father, our Universal Pastor.

IN MY THOUGHTS AND IN MY WORDS:
Including God and others in the self God calls His own
AFRPS Pilgrimage Talk - Convento di San Benedetto – Subiaco, 19 March 2011

In his message for the 15th World Day of Consecrated Life last February, Pope Benedict XVI highlighted the entrance Jesus made in the old Temple of God as the new Temple of God.  The purpose was plain and simple – God’s self disclosure and self expansion.  He visits his people and includes them in His self that afterwards they too may include Him in themselves – as people He has called to be His own.

Though baptism God has included each of us  in His self. The reality is made much more yielding when through each of our religious professions and sacerdotal ordinations  we sincerely include God in our very own selves as an integral part of us.  Three essential elements can be highlighted in such an inclusion: newness, symbiosis, and ordinariness (NSO).
